TEXAS REDS FESTIVAL
Last weekend was the Texas Reds Festival in downtown Bryan. Greg's mom, Liz, had a booth there where she sold a ton of her beautiful glasswork. She does plates, vases, ornaments, stained glass, crosses, and lots of other things. I was so happy that she was so successful with the sales!
I also got to spend the afternoon with my highschool friend, Mary! Mary and I go waaaaay back and she just moved to B/CS a couple weeks ago to start a job in urban planning. It was so great to re-connect and to have a friend to walk around the festival with. I also ran into the Palermo's at the festival! There were lots of beautiful things for sale...especially the pottery. I was eyeing one person's table knowing that I shouldn't buy anything right before we move. Turns out Liz thought that looked like our style and she ended up surprising us with a coffee mug from there :-)
PACKING
We have been packing a lot the last few days. At this rate, we'll be all packed up by next weekend! It's been stressful trying to figure out where everything will go. Our main storage area at the townhome is an outdoor storage room and we are finding that pretty much all our boxes we need to store need to not be exposed to extreme temps or humidity. We had to take out my "memories" boxes and repack stuff from tall Rubbermaid boxes into shorter cardboard boxes so that they'll fit under the tall guest bed. I think everything will probably find its spot, but I don't want to get there and feel like we are stuffed to our gills.
ADDIE GRACE!!!
Anyone who knows the Stewart's knows that their sweet baby girl is here. But I have to say from my own heart how happy I am that she is here. Megan is doing so great recovering, and I really think motherhood suits her. I've been abundantly blessed to spend some quality time holding Addie and watching her little eyes explore the world around her. It has been an amazing experience to watch such a dear friend experience every week of her pregnancy and then see the miracle that God created in her. Lord, you are so fun! You are so creative! And you are so evidedently loving to grace us with children and families! Thank you for entrusting Your children to our care in this world. I pray that you will protect, love, and grow Addie into a woman after your heart. I pray that you would bless Jeremy and Megan with Your wisdom, strength, and patience as they raise her. Amen.
I think that's about it for now. We are excited to finally go to Sunday School again tomorrow. It will be our next to last time to see everyone in one place. So weird...
