Success!!

The garage sale was a huge success! I am not gonna lie...it was hot and icky the whole time and my skin wore the battle scars from that. But it was definitely worth it. We got rid of a lot of "stuff" and pocketed $140! Not bad considering it was all little knick-knacks and no furniture. It is great to know that we now have a little splurge money to help make our townhome feel like home. We already know that we need paint for 2 walls, a mirror, a little rug for our kitchen sink area, and a welcome mat. We have some friends that have a custom-made entry mat with their name on it, and I think that would be really cool. All I know is that I want Greg and me to pick all this stuff out! We have been so blessed to have been given so many things over the years and are filled to the brim with lots of things to make our home beautiful. I am just hungry now for a chance to pick out our own things that we like and that can help define our home how we want it to feel. I restrain my shopping quite a bit, and now I will have a chance to articulate our style and taste as we make ourselves a new home. :-)
