Remembering Charlotte
It's amazing how a little life can turn your own upside down. And how pregnancy can make you feel attached to all babies everywhere. Today I am grieving as one sweet child has been called home to Heaven after 6 days on this earth. Charlotte Jane was a beautiful little girl whose parents went to A&M with me. I lived in the same dorm as her mom, Angela, and have been touched by Angela's contagious joy and faith. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever met anyone else who radiated so much joy and genuine kindness. I have read their blog with so much anticipation of Charlotte's birth and life- to know that yet another girl would join this sweet family and learn so much about Jesus at a young age and be loved so fully. Little did we know that Charlotte would know Jesus more intimately and quickly than any of us have yet. Please pray for this family as they are brought to your mind- Justin, Angela, Elizabeth (3), and Elaine (almost 2?). They have been so strong and have glorified the Lord in this time, and I just pray that they will find comfort and rest in the midst of a pain that is sure to be a part of their lives now forever. And if you think of it, pray for Greg and me to be growing in our dependence upon and love for the Lord every day during our own pregnancy. I can't imagine facing a loss like this.
