If you read my post from yesterday, you'll see that I was pretty upset about the mysterious extra weight gain I showed at my midwife appointment yesterday. She told me to drink a ton of water and get out and take a walk and try to eat healthier. So I did just that and realized that almost every meal this past week that we had at dinner was very high in salt. I also hadn't been doing a stellar job each day with my water intake. Yesterday's meals were very low salt and what do you know? The difference between my morning weight at home on Saturday and my morning weight at home on Sunday was 2 1/2 lbs! I didn't expect to lose anything and wasn't trying to, but I am convinced that all the salt was holding a lot of water everywhere. I feel noticeably better today. My face feels back to normal and my legs look a little better. So..... no more Chinese, Mexican, or Italian dishes for me! Especially Chinese. Somehow this past week we had 3 meals with soy sauce. No bueno. The 2 1/2 lb difference puts me back on track with where I want to be. :-)
We attempted to put the crib together today. Sigh :-) It is a beautiful crib! Only problem is that the pre-drilled holes seem to be off by 1 1/2 inches when you compare where the side rails go into the headboard versus the footboard. What that translates to is a spring that has a 1 1/2 in. incline, which is obviously not safe to lay on. BabiesRUs is being really accommodating and ordering a new crib free of charge (which they should do, but I was nervous that they wouldn't). It should be in a week from now hopefully and we can start the process over again. I was really hoping that we could have the room put together by next weekend, but at least we still have time to work out all the kinks. Hopefully the next one that comes in won't have the same problem!
