We had the blessing of publicly dedicating ourselves to raise Emily in the fear and love of our Lord and also praying for her future salvation and desire to know the Lord. It was a wonderful moment in the life of our family to be able to stand before the body of believers and boldly declare that we commit to praying for her and telling her about her Savior, Jesus.
Emily was dressed in an exquisite handmade christening gown that her Mema (my mom) bought for the children that we will have and that my sister might have one day. Though we don't have an actual christening service and our church is pretty casual, it was really special to have her in that dress on her special day. Thanks, Mema!
