Got a J-O-B offer!!!!!

We are so excited to announce that Greg has gotten an offer from Millersville University to be a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Communication Studies. Millersville U is located in Millersville, Pennsylvania which is a borough of Lancaster, PA (where most of the Amish live). We are thrilled to see this opportunity come up and see the Lord's faithfulness at work in our lives. We definitely ASKED for this job and the Lord has blessed us with such a great place to go.

Everything should be finalized in the next week or two, so please continue to pray that everything is carried to completion. Also, please pray specifically for start-up funds to be available. This has not been discussed yet, and it would really be a blessing to have money available to help with moving costs and getting Greg's office set up.

One of the great things about this area of the country is that we'll be in beautiful rolling farmland with lots of fresh veggies and fruits and clean air - and - we are close to many major cities! Philadelphia and Baltimore are each an hour and a half away. Washington D.C. is a 2 hour train ride and New York City is a 3 hour train ride! I am so very thankful for the opportunity this will afford us to see these neat places. Lancaster is also less than a hour away from Hershey, PA and Gettysburg. There is a lot of history in the area :-)

I finally have the freedom to look at housing!!! :-) You knew that was coming, didn't you? Most of the "houses" in our price range are out in the country areas and were built in the 50's and 60's. Lots of charm and unique floor plans, but you have to wonder about the heating and electrical efficiencies in many of them. The other option is looking at townhomes. This is very popular in the area. These are newer and more updated, but of course appreciate in value more slowly.

We will hopefully take a trip up there in the next 2-3 months to look around and get situated. So exciting!!!
