Charleston Townhouses :-)

I found us a place to live! I think we ended up with a great location. Charleston Townhouses are located only 3 miles from the university and they are tucked away in a great residential neighborhood. They are relatively new buildings, and the insides were remodeled this year. Yay for new appliances and cabinets!! We got a great unit with a little covered front porch, back patio, and convenient reserved parking. I saw two little rabbits by our patio, so I feel at home there already :-) Buddy will have a field day when he realizes his furry little friends have "traveled" with him from Texas to PA. The unit is small (1000 sq feet = small for us) but the utilities are supposed to be very efficient and low priced and the rest of the amenities were too good to pass up. Here are some pictures!

Front of our unit, #44View of our row's back patios and the trees we'll be looking at. The grass is awesome! It is what Texans call winter grass. I don't know what they call it up her. It is bright green and super soft under your feet.

Rolling hills and tons of trees!! This grassy area was created as a retention pond, but right now it is dry grass. I picture playing fetch w/ Buddy out here (as long as there aren't any rabbits for him to chase!)

There are benches on the property and there is a gazebo, too. Plenty of convenient parking for such a small rental community.

Kitchen w/ new appliances, fancy cabinets, and track lighting to make the room bright.

Bathroom w/ a headknocker for storage and a curved shower rod. That adds so much room to a small tub/shower combo! I am really glad they have that. Notice the door lever, too. I am spoiled working at a nice residential construction company. It is fun to know my little place has a headknocker and lever handles instead of knobs. It's the little things... :-)

Here is a good picture of the gazebo.

It seems like a great place already. I have met two older people (by older I mean a man who looks to be in his 70's and a woman in her 50's)...so not toooo old. We also know that many Millersville faculty live in this complex and a lady who works in the communication department office where Greg will be. College students are not allowed to live here. I saw a young man go into his place today with a toddler, so there is at least one young family as well. The Lord is faithful!! We really prayed over this big decision, and I really feel confident that we are going to be in a great place. The landlords are Christians, too, which makes me feel better about their commitment to integrity and service. They have gotten awards for their management, so I do think they will take care of us. Yay!!!

  1. It's what people from the north like Mel and me call REAL grass. This thick coarse stuff down here in Texas is nasty. It's not real grass if it hurts to walk on barefoot!

  2. Yay! I'm glad you're having a good time and found a nice place to live. That takes a big load off. And the most important thing is that Buddy will like it! ;)
