Pictures of our place!

We have had such a great time setting up our home this week! We were thanking the Lord (and each other) tonight that this week has been fun and a blessing instead of stressful. Everything has found it's place and every box is now gone. Yay! I did have to take a big box of clothes to Goodwill because we simply didn't have another inch to put them in. It was really convicting. This whole process of downsizing has brought materialism to the forefront and helped us to really hone in on what we value that we own and what we really don't need.

Tomorrow we are meeting Greg's colleague and his wife for breakfast at a charming downtown place called "Wish You Were Here." I've heard rave reviews and can't wait to sample the menu! Just hope we can get a seat b/c I've heard it can be packed on Saturday mornings. After that I am spending the afternoon on a Pond Tour in the area. It is being hosted by Hope International, a Christian non-profit that provides financial education and microfinance loans to poor people in foreign countries. I am excited to meet some people from Hope and see how I might be able to get involved with the organization (through volunteering or employment.) Then Sunday we finally get to visit a church in the area! We have missed having a weekly place to gather with others to worship the Lord.

I figure the easiest was for me to share all the pictures of the townhome with you is to link my Picassa folder to this post. If it doesn't open for you, then click on the "Picassa Pictures" tab in the right hand column and open the "Moving into Townhome!" folder to view the pictures. You can then select the slideshow view to see the pictures and captions in a bigger size. Enjoy!

  1. You're place is so homey! Glad you like it and are getting settled in. I just got done moving, too, and am glad I've reached the point of not having to look at boxes waiting to be unpacked! Yay for new beginnings in new places!
