Still GROWING! Emily is now filling out underneath my rib cage, and it is harder to breathe and move anywhere. 6 more weeks of growth?? Oh goodness! I also continue to fill out in my face and legs. I look at pics of myself last summer and I seriously think my face has doubled in size. But this too shall pass all in good time.
Like my new glasses? I don't! What a pregnancy purchase. My wire frames broke on me so I had to make a new purchase super quick since I can't do contacts. I opted for plastic frames for the first time ever because I have had breakage problems with my last two wire frames and I hoped that Emily wouldn't be able to break plastic frames as easily when she gets that grasping reflex going. I am trying to give myself time to adjust to the new look, but it is really different. Just like they say you shouldn't get a drastically new haircut while you are pregnant, the same holds true for glasses!
The midwife appt was pretty good today. I only gained 1.25 lbs the last week and a half, so that is back on track thankfully. Em's heartrate was mostly hanging around 143, but I saw the 150's up there a couple times. She doesn't like the Doppler they use to check that. The last few times they've done it, she kicks really hard when it starts going! My blood pressure was normal. So those are all praises!
My one prayer request for y'all is this: pray with me that by my next appointment at 36 weeks that she will be back to head down! For the first time I was told that she was head up. The midwife reassured me that this is not a problem at 34 weeks and that she still has room and time to turn head down. But if she's not down at the next appointment, they will need to do an ultrasound to better determine her position and will try to manually turn her around. If that doesn't work, we will probably be looking at a C-section whenever labor day rolls around. I want to visualize her being able to turn around in there and go head down. She is still very active even though it feels really squished. I just have a mental block right now that there is actually enough room for her to turn like that. Let's hope!
So happy to have made it to 34 weeks!!!
You're beautiful, Darling Friend! So excited for you!
